Both. Nero Labs functions as a research‑led production facility. Commercial outputs (fish, plants, protocols) are outcomes of validated systems rather than isolated breeding efforts. 

Our primary focus includes ornamental fish (with emphasis on cichlids and structured breeding lines), aquatic plants (including tissue‑cultured material), and associated microbial and ecological systems necessary for long‑term stability. 

Yes. Nero Labs does not trade in wild‑caught ornamental fish. All livestock offered originate from controlled captive systems, either produced in‑house or sourced from verified captive‑bred collaborators operating under comparable standards.  item.

Biological fitness precedes aesthetics. Color, form, and size are treated as secondary outcomes of stable growth, low stress, and lineage integrity. 

Orders can be placed through our online platform when stock is listed as available. Availability reflects real‑time system readiness rather than speculative inventory. 

 Unlike mass‑production operations, Nero Labs releases organisms only when biological and behavioral benchmarks are met. Limited availability is a deliberate outcome of system‑based validation. 

Requests may be considered, but cannot always be guaranteed due to natural biological variation. We do not artificially manipulate sex ratios or growth rates. 

 Yes. Live organisms are shipped using insulated, stress‑minimized packaging designed to preserve physiological stability during transit. 

Yes. Dispatch may be delayed during extreme temperatures or adverse transit conditions. Shipment timing is determined by organism welfare, not delivery urgency. 

All live shipments are covered by a Live on Arrival Assurance. In the rare event of mortality during transit, documented cases will be addressed through replacement or credit in accordance with our policy. 

Yes. Each shipment includes acclimation guidelines based on species‑specific stress thresholds. Improper acclimation can negate transit safeguards. 

Organisms are released in physiologically stable states rather than peak display states. Color and behavior often intensify once systems equilibrate. 

We provide guidance on system stabilization, feeding, and behavioral observation. However, Nero Labs does not override established biological limits or compensate for unsuitable aquarium conditions. 

Yes. Nero Labs maintains structured records covering lineage tracking, growth trends, survivorship, and key environmental parameters. While not all internal data is publicly released, traceability and internal reproducibility are non‑negotiable standards within the facility. 

Research at Nero Labs involves observation, measurement, and system‑level modification. Interventions are minimal, deliberate, and justified by welfare‑oriented outcomes. 

Customization is approached at the system level, not as ad‑hoc organism modification. Requests are evaluated for biological feasibility, welfare impact, and long‑term stability before being considered. 

In biological systems, not all deviations warrant correction. Inaction is recognized as a valid experimental and husbandry decision when intervention would introduce greater instability or stress.

Access and training are granted selectively, based on project alignment, biosecurity considerations, and capacity. 

 Yes. Nero Labs is designed for replication and controlled scale. Systems are replicated across locations only after they demonstrate long-term stability, repeatability, and multi-cycle validation. This ensures that expansion preserves biological performance, data integrity, and operational predictability. Replication is therefore deliberate, risk-managed, and evidence-led—avoiding premature franchising or licensing that could dilute system reliability or brand credibility. 

 Yes. Nero Labs offers guided tours of the facility by prior appointment. Tours are structured, educational, and focused on system design, operational logic, and biological processes rather than display. A guided tour fee of ₹1000/- applies, which supports biosecurity protocols, staff time, and facility upkeep. Tour availability is subject to ongoing operations and research schedules.
